Shot Blasting

Shot blasting is an effective cleaning and resurfacing process used to remove debris and irregularities from concrete, metal, steel and other industrial surfaces.

What Is Shot Blasting.

While similar to sandblasting, shot blasting is unique in both execution and effectiveness. It can be used in both domestic and commercial settings by propelling a substance through the blast hose under pressure onto a surface at high velocity. This knocks the surface free of debris and other material, without causing damage. Yorblast will always take the most sympathetic approach when cleaning your surfaces, we have knowledge and experience to know what blast media and pressure to use. We always carry stock of chilled iron, recycled glass, bicarbonate of soda and calcium carbonate.

The Versatility Of Shot Blasting.

While shot blasting is used to clean surfaces, it can also be used to prepare them. Shot blasting a floor or surface before painting or coating it is an efficient way to prepare the surface ensures a smooth surface to paint too.

It can also be used to distress more modern pieces of wood and stone for an in keeping feel.
